Curious about printmaking? This class is the perfect opportunity to emmerse yourself in the process of relief printmaking. We will be discussing the do’s and don’t of linocut carving and image making. We’ll investigate the properties of different inks, and how to use colour effectively by making use of ink transparencies and colour mixing.
Whether you’re trying linocut for the first time, or if you’re looking to develop and hone your printing skills, this is the perfect class for you! In this 3-hour course, you will learn about the different supplies needed for linocut printing, as well as the various techniques you can use to transfer photos and images onto your lino to create clean and clear prints.
Andrew will demonstrate how to get the most out of your printing materials; such as keeping your tools sharp and how to properly clean your tools and block. At the end of this printmaking class, you will go home with your carved lino block and prints. This is a class that is meant to be joyful, so come and let’s have some fun.
