Summer Week-long Retreat at Artelier!

Looking for a creative getaway not far from home? Why not spend a week at Artelier exploring and experiementing with a diverse range of materials? This week we’ll be focusing on ways that a substrate (paper and fabrics) can be processed using dye, printmaking and collage. Learn a variety of techniques from 3 different instructors, each a master of their own craft.
Each instructor will cover a different medium and project, however many of these processes are transferable and harness the potential for combining and mixing. Whether you’re looking to expand on your skill set and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the nature of different papers and fabrics, or try something completely new, Surfaces Week is the retreat for you

5 days of artmaking with 3 different instructors!

Monday: We’ll start the week with observational drawing in charcoal and graphite with Farhad Amini.
Tuesday: On day 2 we’ll continue to drawing from observation using a live model as reference.
Wednesday: TBA
Thursday: Introducing colour, we’ll next move on to portraits in soft pastels with David Shkonly
Friday: Wrapping up the week will be more chalk pastels using a live model as reference.
