Welcome to the captivating world of drawing with ink! If you are eager to embark on a creative journey that promises not only skill development but also a joyful and enriching experience, you’re in the right place. Fahrad will guide you through this introductory ink drawing class exploring the expressive dynamism of drawing inks.
In this course, you will discover how shape and form can be rendered in a variety of line work such as contour, cross hatching and the use of washes. Discover the intricacies of ink pigments, using pen and nib, brush pens and more. Fahrad’s extensive background, encapsulated in a rich resume, reflects a passion for teaching and a dedication to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.
About the Instructor:
Farhad Sadeghi Amini is a dedicated lecturer and award-winning artist with an MA in Fine Arts and over 10 years of experience teaching in a university setting. He has been showcased in numerous international art exhibitions over twenty countries. In addition to his artistic achievements, Farhad has actively contributed to the artistic community as a Director on the Burnaby Arts Council. He has also served as a juror for the esteemed Burnaby Film Forum (BFF), further showcasing his commitment to supporting and promoting the arts in various forms.

Paint Spot will provide: paper, some sumi or india inks, and pens.
Suggested Supplies:
- Any coloured inks, pen nibs, pens or brush markers you would like to use
- Suitable art clothes, hand towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)
