The popular Schmincke HORADAM Aquarell Supergranulating Colours are now available in beautiful Urban wood box set. This Limited Edition wood box set includes 5 x 15ml tubes of new HORADAM Supergranulating “Urban” watercolours. The new Urban shades have a slightly broken colour character, so are ideal for a wide range of urban scenes.
With these unusual watercolours, Schmincke is expanding the possibilities of granulating watercolour painting to include interesting colours with a super-granulating appearance. The combination of at least 2 granulating Horadam pigments intensifies the granulating effect. The pigments mass together in places on the paper, to form “super granulation”.
These colours are formulated with pigments from different colour ranges, so the granulation effect results in additional colour changes.
For example, Deep Sea Indigo is a combination of violet and green pigment, while Glacier Brown contains a brown and a green pigment. This novel, natural structure formation of the colours varies depending on the substrate and the amount of water used. The rougher the paper, the stronger the granulation effect.
