Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Supergranulation Sets
The new HORADAM Aquarell “Supergranulating Colours” are available in Limited Edition cardboard box sets: Deep Sea, Glacier, Galaxy, Forest, Desert, and Shire. All Supergranulation sets contain 5 Horadam supergranulating 5 ml tubes.
With these unusual watercolours, Schmincke expands the possibilities of granulating watercolour to include colours with a super-granulating appearance. The combination of at least 2 granulating pigments intensifies the granulating effect. This results in pigments massing together in places on the paper, to form “super granulation”.
These new colours are formulated with pigments from different colour ranges. This results in a granulation effect as well as additional colour changes. For example, Deep Sea Indigo is a combination of violet and green pigment, while Glacier Brown contains a brown and a green pigment. This novel, natural structure formation of the colours varies depending on the substrate and the amount of water used. The rougher the paper, the stronger the granulation effect.
All Horadam Aquarell special supergranulating colours have 4 and 5 star lightfast ratings. The opacity of the colours is predominantly semi-opaque or semi-transparent.

Shire set includes 5ml: Shire Yellow, Shire Olive, Shire Green, Shire Blue and Shire Grey.
Desert set includes 5ml: Desert Yellow, Desert Orange, Desert Brown, Desert Green and Desert Grey.
