This two part watercolour primer will help you build a foundation of watercolour skills and knowledge to build upon.
Learn some helpful tips on set up, paints, brushes and paper options. Learn from professional watercolour artist, Cam Wilson in a relaxed, low-stress environment.
Watercolour paints when mixed with water act unlike any other medium. Explore how to distribute and control dynamic watercolours through excersices and quick studies. Further your watercolour tool box with techniques such as masking, lifting and other effects.
About the Instructor:
Cam Wilson is an artist in Edmonton who practices primarily in Watercolour. Cam is a member of the Canadian Federation of Artists National and Edmonton Chapters as well as the International Watercolour Society. Cam comes from a career in design and illustration and previously taught at Grant MacEwen before dedicating his time to painting watercolours.

The Paint Spot will provide, palettes, water containers, masking tape, and mounting board.
Please Bring:
1. Watercolour pad 9 x12” or similar (cold press, at least 140 lb)
2. Watercolour brushes: #8 pointed round synthetic, #12 pointed round synthetic, 3/4 to 1” flat brush (thinner profile is better)
3. Watercolour paints: permanent red, permanent yellow, prussian blue, cereleun blue, paynes grey, burnt sienna
4. Handful of kitchen paper towels, pencil (HB or 2B), kneaded eraser,
Suitable art clothes, hand towel or old cloth, white paper towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)
You will receive a 20% discount on all art supplies from your registration until the end of the class!
Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
