Beginners welcome!

Have you ever wanted to know how to make simple Papier Mache projects? Come learn how to paper mache by creating a small paper mache votive altar that can be hung on the wall or stand on its own. This is a great chance to learn all the steps of Paper Mache making – from mixing the glue, to building the inner structure, to applying the paper mache and painting / decorating your object. Leave the workshop with your own unique, decorative altar, feeling like a paper mache master!

About the Instructor:

Libbie Farrell is an artist whose work spans across printmaking, textiles, and sculpture. Libbie cares about community and making workshops that are both engaging and accessible to all levels of learners. Farrell has been making paper mache projects for the last two years in their spare time and looks forward to sharing this skill with more people.

The Paint Spot will supply: Brown craft paper, cardboard, masking tape, Paper Mache Glue, gesso, and some cutting mats, scissors and exacto knives.

You bring:

1. your own pair of scissors and exacto knife is encouraged, there will be some available for class use
2. Suitable art clothes, cloths or paper towel, notebook, lunch, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)

You will receive a 20% discount on all art supplies from your registration until the end of the class!

Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
