$80 + Supply List
Class Limit: 15 Students

This dynamic workshop explores the art of creating gestural portraits. Emphasizing expression, movement, and energy, participants will learn to capture the essence of a subject through bold brushstrokes, rapid application of paint, and intuitive mark-making. The focus is on creating an emotional and dynamic likeness, rather than achieving photorealistic precision.
Led by an experienced portrait artist, the workshop will provide one-on-one guidance, demonstrations, and critique to help you hone your skills and push the boundaries of traditional portrait painting. This painting is just an example of gestural portrait. Participants are welcome to work from their own images or use the reference pictures provided by the instructor.
You will learn: How to understand gesture in portraiture. Brushwork and mark making. About colour and tone in limited palette. Techniques in oil and acrylic
Join this workshop for an exciting, liberating experience that will inspire a new approach to portraiture and expand your creative possibilities!
