Painting a Glass Bottle in Watercolour WITH FRANCIS MARTE

Creating the illusion of glass in watercolour can be captivating. In this class designed for beginners, the techniques that will be used will explore step-by-step how to create the shadows and recommended colours necessary to illustrate glass in watercolour.
You will learn:
1. How to create a simple line drawing through trace transferring the image on watercolour paper
2. How to use masking fluid and identify which areas to apply the fluid
3. How to identify what colours to use when painting glass
4. How to mix interesting variety of blues to create depth and interest of the shadows
5. How to use your brushes for detailing
6. How to use wet-on-wet technique for soft washes
About the Instructor:
Francis Marte is a realistic watercolourist with years of professional experience. He has participated in various exhibits and has been featured in international watercolour publications. Francis possesses a strong sense of artistry, consistently displayed in all his art pieces. He is a well regarded watercolour instructor for emerging watercolourists.

Most supplies are included in the supply fee.
Instructor will provide watercolour paint, masking fluid, and photo reference.
The Paint Spot will provide watercolour paper (Arches 300lb cold press), watercolour brushes, 2 palettes, kneadable eraser, masking tape, mounting board.
Please Bring:
1. Handful of kitchen paper towels, ballpoint pen, 2 containers for water
2. Suitable art clothes, hand towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)
You will receive a 20% discount on all art supplies from your registration until the end of the class!
Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
