Beginner or Advanced!
This hands on workshop is designed for artists of all levels looking to improve their brushwork skills and find a more personal, expressive approach to painting. Dive into the essential diversity of brushwork techniques and understanding of how to use brushwork to create textures, movement and mood.
By the end of the session, students will gain a strong understanding of brushwork fundamentals and learn how to apply to their own artwork.
About the Instructor:
Classically trained in Eastern Europe, Oksana began her art career in L’viv, Ukraine. Oksana studied at the Ivan Trush College of Decorative Arts. She chose to make painting, especially of murals, her specialty. In 2001, she held her first solo exhibition at the L’viv University of Ivan Franko. Oksana brings her training, skill, and passion to her painting, and she is versatile in expressive styles. She is adept at many genres, including portraiture, still life, and landscape.

1. Canvas pad Fredrix 9”x12” or Canson XL oil or acrylic pad ( one page primed in bright red)
2. Brushes: Round synthetic #2, Bristle Filbert #4, Synthetic filbert #4, Flat bristle #4, Small fan brush, Liner brush #0
3. Paint: Lemon yellow, Magenta, Ultramarine blue, Titanium white, Ivory black
4. Oil or acrylic medium if your choice
5. A palette of your choice Suitable art clothes, soft cloths for brushes, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)

Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
