“I believe there is no perfect red, blue, or yellow for artists. Theory sometimes bogs us down with too much information. I think there is a more profound way to experience the relationships between colours and the ColourJot system can be used to help artists find their personal colour story beyond the basics”. – Kim Fjordbotten
Colourdat is an easy process for beginners to create beautiful colour references and it can be a wonderful accomplishment to complete an art journal.
Go beyond colour theory and gain practical experience with colours. In this hands-on workshop, you will dive into practical exercises that allow you to experiment with 3-colour palettes and techniques to make 99 colours. Each class will focus on a new colour combination. Kim will demonstrate how to layout of colour in logically and mix colour to create reference book that will help you develop your own colour story. Key learning will include controlling intensity; analogous and complimentary mixing; and colour harmony. The tools, techniques and process encourage the use of unusual colour combination. The goal as that you feel inspired to push the boundaries and go beyond the traditional.
