The holidays are coming! Do you want to learn how to paint this this adorable peeping snowman in watercolour?
The instructor will show you how to paint this holiday figure using various techniques.
1. How to paint a soft, foggy background with snow using wet-on-wet
2. How to use masking fluid
3. How to paint a snowman in costume
4. How to paint your own text
You will use a reference photo and little drawing skills necessary. The instructor will guide you step-by-step with demos and useful critiques so you can continue to paint this on your own holiday cards and posters!
Photo references and paints will be provided by the instructor, paper, brushes, mounting board and palette will be provided by The Paint Spot.
About the Instructor:
Francis Marte is a realistic watercolourist with years of professional experience. He has participated in various exhibits and has been featured in international watercolour publications. Francis possesses a strong sense of artistry, consistently displayed in all his art pieces. He is a well regarded watercolour instructor for emerging watercolourists.

Most supplies are included in the supply fee.
Instructor will provide watercolour paint, masking fluid, and photo reference.
The Paint Spot will provide watercolour paper (Arches 300lb cold press), watercolour brushes (round #2, round #12, & flat #12), 2 palettes, kneadable eraser, masking tape, mounting board.
Please Bring:
- Handful of kitchen paper towels, ballpoint pen, 2 containers for water
- Suitable art clothes, hand towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)
You will receive a 20% discount on all art supplies from your registration until the end of the class!
Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
