Chinese Bamboo Reed Pens
Chinese bamboo reed pens are made from natural bamboo and cut to be double-ended. One end has a split tip and a reservoir hole (almost like a fountain pen), while the other has a longer tip which must be dipped more frequently into liquid ink. Both ends create different lines and brush strokes when used with drawing inks or watercolours. They may also be used for applying masking fluids. Bamboo pens are an ideal tool to use for expressive, playful mark-making.
