Chunghua Chinese Sumi Ink, or “Zhonghua” Sumi-e Black Liquid Ink is an earthy warm black ink. This Nobel Zhonghua Chinese Ink is made from selected carbon and gelatin of superior quality and has a fragrant scent. Use it for drawing, painting, or calligraphy. It is ready to use straight out of the bottle or diluted with water to create lighter shades. The ink will dry permanent. It is not re-soluble like calligraphy ink. Use it on dry paper for crisp details. Try it on wet paper for free-flowing, expressive marks and shapes.

This rich black ink is an affordable option for learning brush painting. Suitable for sumi-e and shodo (calligraphy). It can be used with a dip pen, bamboo brush, or bamboo pen for drawing, painting, and calligraphy.
