Do you want to learn how to paint soft blue skies, sea, distant mountains and seagull in watercolour? In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn what various blue pigments to use for a seascape. Learn how to paint distant mountains using wet-on-wet, and paint simple details using fine, round brushes.
About the Instructor:
Francis Marte is a realistic watercolourist with years of professional experience. He has participated in various exhibits and has been featured in international watercolour publications. Francis possesses a strong sense of artistry, consistently displayed in all his art pieces. He is a well regarded watercolour instructor for emerging watercolourists.

Most supplies are included in the supply fee.
Instructor will provide watercolour paint and photo reference.
The Paint Spot will provide watercolour paper (Arches 300lb cold press, 9 x 12”), watercolour brushes, palettes, kneadable eraser, masking tape, masking fluid, and mounting board and spray bottle. Students are encouraged to bring their own watercolour brushes and paints. The instructor will guide students on how to use them appropriately.
Please Bring:
- Handful of kitchen paper towels, ballpoint pen, 2 containers for water
- Suitable art clothes, hand towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)

Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
