Dive deeper into the world of abstract painting in this next-level class. Building on foundational skills, you’ll explore further techniques, experiment with color, texture, and form, and develop your unique artistic voice. Whether you’re an experienced painter or new to the medium of acrylic, this class is perfect for those ready to push their creative boundaries beyond the basics of abstraction.
About the Instructor:
Multi-disciplinary artist, Arlene Westen, brings over 30 years of teaching experience to her students. Her proficiencies include mixed-media, collage, surface design, book arts, and printmaking.After graduating from Grant MacEwan University with a Visual Arts Diploma, she earned two further baccalaureate degrees: Fibre Art (Honors) from the Alberta University of the Arts, and a Studio Arts Degree (Honors with Great Distinction) from University of Lethbridge.

Please Bring:
- A selection of paint brushes in various sizes. 3 minimum, rounds or flats.
- Suitable art clothes, hand towel/tea towel, soft cloths for brushes, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)

Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
