Grab your favourite sketchbook, pens, brushes, watercolours and enjoy an evening of urban sketching in the comfort of the studio.
Embrace the intriguing shapes of buildings, arches, pillars and highlight the nature within.
In this 3-hour class you will learn to create a story with a line work, washes and brush makings, as well as how to design a strong composition, simplify forms and colour. Let’s make every line count!
About the Instructor:
Classically trained in Eastern Europe, Oksana began her art career in L’viv, Ukraine. Oksana studied at the Ivan Trush College of Decorative Arts. She chose to make painting, especially of murals, her specialty. In 2001, she held her first solo exhibition at the L’viv University of Ivan Franko. Oksana brings her training, skill, and passion to her painting, and she is versatile in expressive styles. She is adept at many genres, including portraiture, still life, and landscape.

1. Watercolour sketchbook 8.5 x 5.5” or any similar size OR small watercolour postcards
2. Watercolour brushes flat #6 , round #2
3. Set of watercolour paints
4. Pitt pens 0.3, 0.5 (Faber Castell, Staedtler, or Micron)
5. Posca marker white 0.7 Uni (light blue 3M optional)
6. Watercolour Holbein tape
7. Small plastic palette
8. Pencil (H), eraser
9. Tombow Water-based marker N52
10. Suitable art clothes, cloths or paper towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)

Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
