Yasutomo Traditional Japanese Watercolor Set
Yasutomo Traditional Japanese Watercolor are traditionally used for Sumi-e watercolor painting. These Authentic Japanese Watercolors are made specifically for use on washi, but offer unique properties on all watercolor papers. They are water resistant after drying when wet mounting on absorbent paper. However, they are also fully water-soluble like a traditional watercolor. They are designed for traditional Japanese painting techniques, but may also be mixed with other watercolors to achieve interesting color combinations. These watercolors can be fully reworked like any watercolor, but it takes a little longer because the binder is different and much stronger.
These professional quality Japanese watercolors are perfect for sketching, illustration, sumi-e and traditional watercolor painting. They are also wonderful for rubber stamping, calligraphy, card making and paper crafts.
The finest quality watercolors used by Japan’s watercolor and Sumi-e painters can be found in this set. Twelve color-fast colors come in reusable rectangular plastic pans, stored in a decorative paper box.
