Stoneground Paint Co. Gouache
Stoneground gouache is a water-based media that dries to an opaque, matte finish. Colours are easily mixed with one another and can be used interchangeably with Stoneground watercolour paint. Iris is a vibrant medium purple useful in a variety of applications from still life work and florals to landscapes, abstracts, and illustrations.
Artists Notes: Iris is an excellent mixing colour and can create beautiful lavender hues when mixed with Titanium White.

Modern Colours
Stoneground defines modern colours as those developed and discovered after 1704. This was when the accidental discovery of Prussian Blue occurred. The colours Stoneground classifies as such, contain organic and inorganic pigments and are typically characterized by their intense and bright appearance.
