Yasutomo Shikishi Gasen Boards
Shikishi Boards are made from washi papers mounted to a hard board backing and edged with gold foil. It is traditionally used for sumi-e watercolor and haiku painting, but can also be used for multimedia projects.
The three-piece set includes one each of gasen, hosho, and torinoko boards in a 5″ x 7″ size. Gasen is textured, white, and absorbent. Hosho is smooth, white, and absorbent. Torinoko is smooth, yellow, and less absorbent, allowing for more precise line work and watercolor washes.
The five-piece set includes five 3″ x 3″ gasen boards.
