Jacquard Dye-Na-Flow Silk Hoop Painting Kit
Paint and/or sun print using these 100% silk hoops, with Jacquard Dye Na Flow flowable fabric paint, to create beautiful window or wall art. For ages 3+. All the tools and supplies you need are included in this silk hoop painting kit: 3 (9 1/2″) 100% Silk Hoops, 2 Brushes, 1/2 fl oz/14 ml Dye-Na-Flow colors (1 each in: Turquoise, Brilliant Red and Golden Yellow), 1/2 fl oz/14 ml Permanent Gold Water-based Resist, 1 oz/28 g Silk Salt, and instructions and tips.
Two options:
- Use the resist to outline your designs, and then fill in with Dye-Na-Flow paints.
- Paint the entire hoop with Dye-Na-Flow, and then place objects on top for sun printing.
NOTE: The special adhesive used to glue the silk to the metal ring may become very tacky in certain environments, which may cause the hoops to stick together. Most of the time, they are easy to separate. Hoops that are difficult to separate should be placed in the freezer for half an hour. Once cold, the glue will no longer be tacky, and the hoops will easily come apart.
About Dye Na Flow
Jacquard Dye-Na-flow is a free flowing, highly concentrated, fluid acrylic paint for fabric. Dye Na Flow is beautiful on any untreated fabric, and in many ways it simulates a true dye. Dye-Na-Flow spreads on fabric until it is thoroughly absorbed and even. It will not alter the feel of the fabric. Since it is very fluid, you will need to use a resist or gutta of some type if you wish to contain colors to certain areas.
Dye-Na-Flow is an incredibly versatile fabric paint and may be used for many diverse applications. You can heat set it with a dry iron or use Jacquard Airfix which is an alternative means of fixing, more commonly used in production runs. For spray application, use Dye Na Flow with the Jacquard YouCan refillable spray can. Jacquard Dye Na Flow is also available in sets.
