Description
357 Alizarin Crimson is a cool, saturated deep red with good transparency. It has been synthetically reproduced since 1870. Originally an alumina pigment lake of alizarine, the main dyestuff of the madder plant, the traditional colour was highly fugitive and susceptible to fading.
