Description
Stoneground Paint Co. Delft Cobalt Blue Watercolour
Stoneground Delft Cobalt Blue watercolour is a deep blue-grey, also known as Delft Blue. It is our favorite for moody skies, angry seascapes, and dark shadows. Use this watercolour to add a blush tone to shadows. Delft Blue is a wonderful addition for landscape, botanical, still life, and illustration work. It is also beautiful when used full strength, or in subtle washes.
Artist’s Notes: Delft Blue mixes well with other colours and is useful for depicting the natural blue-greys found in nature as well as mountains and distant hills.
Paint Maker’s Notes: The only Stoneground watercolour created using two pigments, this Delft Blue is a combination of Ultramarine Blue (PB 29) and Raw Umber (PBr 7).
