Stoneground Pozzuoli Earth Red Watercolour
Sourced from iron ore deposits near Pozzuoli, Italy, Stoneground Pozzuoli Earth Red is an exceptionally warm orange-red earth colour, and is one of the most permanent pigments available to artists. Pozzuoli mixes beautifully with other colours, creating a beautiful range of neutrals when combined with Ultramarine Blue, and deep orange-reds when combined with Bordeaux.

Paint Maker’s Notes: This red earth pigment is sourced from iron ore deposits near Pozzuoli, Italy. During the Renaissance, earth pigments became important to artists, and red earths found near Pozzuoli were considered some of the best available.
