Pastel Premier Sand Paper 12″ x 16″ is available in packs of 6 sheets or individually. It is an archival quality sanded paper for the pastel artist.
Double-primed and coated with an aluminum oxide formulated specifically for the line, Pastel Premier is an absolutely ideal surface for pastel painting. Workable with a range of media as an underpainting, this unique 145 lb (310 gsm) paper can accept as many as twenty five layers of pastel. Additionally, Pastel Premier includes a final seal coat that ensures maximum durability, able to withstand almost any measure of scrubbing or reworking.
Pastel Premier is produced on 100% cotton, acid free paper. This paper works with a wide range of dry media as well as wet media including water, mineral spirits, and alcohol (heavy use of alcohol NOT recommended – may soften surface).

Pastel Premier is available in two surfaces:
- X-Fine (600 grit) – a smoother, finer surface in WHITE only (DISCONTINUED)
- Medium (320 – 400 grit) – a toothy, aggressive surface in 5 colors
