Some painters prefer to work from a traditional wood palette. These palettes are plain and unvarnished wood. They are 3/16″ (5 mm) thick. The are most suitable for oil paints.
Artists keep their old palettes; others gift them to patrons. There are several examples of multiple used-palettes hung in studios and hallways as art pieces in themselves. Why not build your used palette art collection?
