Description

Canvas Offsets for Floating Frames

Canvas offsets are an indispensable part of front-loading frames. They keep your canvas securely in the frame. Offsets are flat pieces of metal shaped like a right-angled “S”. One end of the “S” is screwed into the back edge of stretched canvas and the other end overlaps the back of the frame, effectively clipping your canvas to the frame.

The size of offsets that you need is determined by the distance between the back of the canvas’ stretcher bar and the back of the frame. This should correspond to the size of the middle of the “S” or the “rise.” Allow your projects on canvas to shine with front-loading frames and their sidekicks the offsets.

This package includes everything you need to attach two canvases to your floating frames. These fit both our regular and deep floating frames, although they may not accommodate gallery depth birch panels.

Included:

  • 8 x 1/4″ offsets
  • 8 x 3/8″ screws
