The KURETAKE FUDE PEN NIHON-DATE KABURA (No.55) was developed in 1980. It is a long-selling, double-sided brush pen that is a representation of the fine craftsmanship of Kuretake’s Fude Pen. Rich black ink specially formulated for both Eastern and Western papers. This double-ended brush pen has a large, flexible tip for painterly strokes and a stiff, fine tip for precise, detailed mark-making.
The subtle curves of the pen barrel, called “KABURA” come from traditional calligraphy brush shapes.
This fude pen fits nicely into the hand, and reduces feelings of discomfort after use for long periods of time.
With the KURETAKE FUDE PEN NIHON-DATE KABURA (No. 55), you can enjoy not only traditional, oriental style calligraphy, but also more westernized styles of brush lettering.
