Conte a Paris Sketching Crayons are square ‘carre’ sticks made using a combination of pigments, clay and binder. Conté crayons have been a preferred artist’s medium for drawing and sketching for over 250 years.
Thinner and harder than traditional chalk pastels, they allow for crisper, more detailed drawing and may also be used on their sides to achieve coverage over broad areas. Conté crayons are extremely versatile and may be used for a variety of techniques.
Conté Carre is harder than pastels and charcoal, and can be applied with the corner for fine lines and the flat edge to make large strokes.
Each colour comes in a 2-stick blister package.
