Heinz Jordan’s Hoglin brushes are a synthetic version of a Hog Bristle and considered a vegan and cruelty-free option for hog hair. This line tested very well for holding shape while delivering a strong brush strokes to place, move and blend colours. The brushes can be used for oil or acrylics. Synthetics are easier to clean and longer lasting. Hoglins are a surprisingly good price point.
Filberts are round brushes that have been squished flat on one side. Round tips create soft edges using either the finer slender side or the broader size.
