Description
A filbert brush is like a round shape that has been squished flat on one side. It will make the transition from thin lines to thick lines with just a twist of the brush while moving across the canvas. The round tip produces a softer, subtler edge than a flat or bright. Portrait painters prefer filbert brushes.
“Taklon” is a tradename commonly used in artist brushes. This synthetic fiber is actually a polyester. Each filament is tapered, ending in a fine point. These brushes are affordable and durable. They make excellent entry level brushes.
Synthetics have come a long way in the past few years. Be sure to see all our synthetic acrylic brushes.
These are long handle brushes suitable for easel painting and large artworks.
