Hahnemühle Toned Watercolor Paper Pads offer an exciting alternative to traditional white paper with a lightly tinted natural background color. They combine the desire for toned paper with a watercolor texture that’s unique to the market. Toned papers are ideal for playing off your lights, darks, and colors and can make white accents pop. They’re also perfect for plein air and urban sketching as the reduced sun glare won’t blind you as you work. In addition, the background tone allows for an image to float in an unpainted background without feeling unfinished.
Each top-bound watercolor pad contains 20 sheets of premium 95 lb. (200 gsm.) cold press watercolor paper composed of alpha cellulose fibers. The sheets are internally and externally sized with vegan sizing. Colors can be lifted effortlessly, and masking fluids, tapes, and erasers will not damage the surface. Not just for watercolor, this paper can be used with gouache, pastel, charcoal, pencil, pens, and ink.
