Description
Cobalt Green Light is a clean, semi-transparent grass green perfect for use in landscapes, florals, still life work, and illustration work.
Artist’s Notes: Stoneground Cobalt Green Light is considered to be a ready-to-use mid-green and is very useful for artists who appreciate single pigment colours for glazing. While useful full strength and on its own, Cobalt Green Light mixes well with other colours, and can be combined with India Yellow for beautiful green golds, or mixed with Phthalo Blue for brilliant sea greens and turquoises.
Paint Maker’s Notes: Cobalt pigments range from bright green, through turquoise, blue, and violet. Cobalt takes its name from ‘the German word ‘kobald’, which means goblin. Medieval miners thought goblins stole valuable metals in their ore swapping them with substances that emitted noxious fumes.
