Day 3 – Saturday, September 3
9:00 am to 11:50 am
Bust your fear of the white canvas! Let mixed-media artist Doris lead you in making fearless first marks to create interesting and meaningful backgrounds for new paintings.
Starting with an openness to experimentation, Doris will introduce a variety of media: acrylics, collage, pastel and more. She will encourage you to explore new ways of combining and layering the different media, and making use of both spontaneous and considered mark-making. Most important, this workshop will be about bringing the fun of exploring to the beginnings of each new painting.
