Working with a black canvas can add a new dimension to your painting. Fredrix Real Thing Black Canvas Pads allow you to create bright high contrast vignettes or moody pieces. The black background gives the artist the opportunity to leave large areas of the canvas unpainted making it easier to create paintings in one session. Few people would surmise that the painter used a black canvas after such a work is completed. Black primed canvas also provides an excellent background to simulate the look of woodcut prints. Draw your initial sketch using a white or light-gray pastel pencil.
Each pad contains 10 sheets of 7 oz artist canvas, primed with black acrylic gesso and ready for use with any medium.
