da Vinci Maestro 2 Hog Bristle Long Round 7979

The enormous amount of labor involved in hand-making interlocked brushes has led da Vinci Brush to develop a new technology. This technology enables them to manufacture their artist brushes in a more effective way. The fruit of these efforts is the MAESTRO 2, where da Vinci implants a perfectly shaped brush-head deeply into the ferrule, to guarantee enduring elasticity, springiness and longevity.

Brush Features:

A Long Round Brush is ideal for painting flowing outlines and creating long thin brush marks. The long hair provides more area to hold paint while the fine tip still maintains a point for drawing with colour.

Flags of Bristles while it grows, the long round bristle splits into two or more tips, the ‘flags’. This fullness of the bristle accounts for the ability to hold a large amount of colour.

Interlocking two equal-sized portions of bristle are set against each other with the natural curve of the bristle turned maestro 2 bristlesinward. MAESTRO artists brushes of interlocked construction are labor intensive; however, they will keep their form even after long and intensive use.

da Vinci Brush uses full length, top-quality hog bristles and mounts them deep within the ferrule, attached to the handle. Beware of cheaper brush brands. This image shows a cut away image to reveal how some companies may cut corners in hair length and construction. The length of bristle hair is very important in a paint brush. The brush will last longer and have more flexibility and responsiveness if it’s bristles are longer and deeper in the ferrule. da Vinci Maestro brushes are a true pleasure to use.
