$415 ($395 + $20 Supply Fee)
Class Limit: 15 Students
For Intermediate to Experienced Artists
This 5-day workshop is designed to teach participants how to sculpt the human face with clay using a live model. The workshop is structured around 3-hour sessions each day, and will cover basic anatomy, techniques for sculpting with water-based clay, and refining the basic shapes and features of the face. Participants will also learn how to add details and express emotion in their sculptures, with individual feedback and guidance from the instructor. By the end of the workshop, participants will have created their own unique clay sculpture of a human face, and will have gained new skills and techniques for future sculpting projects.
This experience is designed for intermediate and advanced artists seeking realism and likeness in their portrait work. Students will choose to work in life-size or half-life size depending on their skill and motivation.
