Panoramic Canola Fields Watercolour Workshop WITH FRANCIS MARTE

Beginners welcome!
How many times have you driven by a pretty sky and canola field and wondered if you can paint this beautiful scene in watercolour? In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn the basics of watercolour painting, by painting a simple scene using mainly wet-on-wet technique, and layering. You will also learn how to paint natural looking distant trees.
A photo reference and paints will be provided by the instructor.
About the Instructor:
Francis Marte is a realistic watercolourist with years of professional experience. He has participated in various exhibits and has been featured in international watercolour publications. Francis possesses a strong sense of artistry, consistently displayed in all his art pieces. He is a well regarded watercolour instructor for emerging watercolourists.

Most supplies are included in the supply fee.
Instructor will provide watercolour paint, masking fluid, and photo reference.
The Paint Spot will provide watercolour paper (Arches 300lb cold press, 11 x 15”), watercolour brushes (round #2, round #12, & flat #12), palettes, kneadable eraser, masking tape, mounting board.
Please Bring:
- Handful of kitchen paper towels, ballpoint pen, 2 containers for water
- Suitable art clothes, hand towel, notebook, snack, drink, and your own PPE (mask, hand sanitizer)
You will receive a 20% discount on all art supplies from your registration until the end of the class!
Artelier is located at 10045 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta (back alley entrance). The workshop space is one block south of The Paint Spot.
