Monoprinting and Mixed Media Workshop WITH MEGHANA GAUTHIER
SATURDAY, JULY 29
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
$80 + Supply List
Class Limit: 12 Students
Any Skill Level – Youth or Adult
This 1-day workshop is a dynamic introduction to monoprinting using your choice of gel or plexi plate. Instructor will demo on both. We will work quickly to generate several prints in 3 steps:
1) Create abstract backgrounds using printmaking inks/open acrylics and additive/reductive techniques resulting in atmospheric landscapes, whimsical still life/floral or simply pure abstract compositions.
2) Add 2-3 layers of shapes with stencils, masks and glazing to add depth.
3) Tie it all together using mixed media such as acrylic inks/fluid acrylics, pastels, crayons and/or coloured pencils. Instructor will also bring some collage material.
