Join Jan for a few hours of fun experimenting with the brilliant colours and fluidity of alcohol inks on yupo paper. In this class, the focus is on experimenting with alcohol inks, which have exceptional flow for wonderful new results. Learn what you can do with these inks on Yupo paper, an extra-smooth surface that is ideal for playing with inks. A very popular method of creating paintings that surprise with their brilliance and their range of effects!
Use new methods and materials to create imagery or abstract designs. You will also pay attention to composition, design, and other aspects of successful artmaking. Create several small, exploratory works or something larger – as you please. You will come away with lots of inspiration!

About the Instructor Jan Fraser, a very popular instructor, has been an artist and educator for many years. She has taught art at the community level and with Edmonton Public Schools. Her atmospheric work celebrates the prairie landscape. Her work is in many collections, and she has had many exhibitions. Jan loves to experiment with art materials and has a great time doing it. Her enthusiasm is infectious.
