With Jordan Pearson.
Come explore some lovely flowers in hot wax! During this one-day class you will learn or refresh yourself on the safety and working techniques unique to encaustic painting (hot beeswax). Jordan’s class demos will focus on a specific approach to floral painting in encaustic with plenty of one-on-one instruction. This class will involve how to imbed paper, drawing directly, a specific approach to colour mixing, scraping back, fusing, glazing, and carving in. Students will also be shown how to build smooth or textural surfaces to suit their floral portraits in regard to any texture and background. You will leave the class with one finished painting and an encaustic study!
This class involves some drawing and is open to beginners and those who have already taken a class in encaustic.
These are included in your fee:
The Paint Spot also supplies miscellaneous materials
